Following surgery, a follow-up appointment will be arranged to check your recovery and discuss any ongoing care.
Will completed his medical training at the University of Leeds in Yorkshire, UK, before moving to New Zealand and completing specialist surgical training through placements in New Plymouth, Whangārei, Tauranga and Auckland.
He gained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019 before undertaking three further fellowship years in Australia. This advanced training developed his expertise in skin cancer surgery, minimally invasive hernia surgery and oncoplastic breast surgery, including implant-based breast reconstruction.
As part of the prestigious BreastSurgANZ Fellowship, Will gained specialist experience in breast cancer surgery, implant reconstruction and breast reduction techniques. During his final fellowship year, he performed or assisted in more than 80 implant-based reconstruction cases.
Your welcoming first point of contact
Stephanie is Will’s wife and Practice Manager. She is the friendly voice on the phone and welcoming face at reception, helping patients navigate appointments and feel supported from their first enquiry.
She manages clinical bookings, insurance pre-approvals, patient enquiries and the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring everything operates smoothly behind the scenes.

Dr Will Anderson has a special interest in breast cancer surgery and reconstruction following breast surgery. His expertise in oncoplastic breast surgery combines safe cancer removal with careful attention to breast shape, size, position and symmetry.
As Chair of the Northern Skin Cancer Governance Committee, Will works with GPs and specialists across Northland to improve skin cancer services and provide high-quality surgical care for patients.
He is actively involved in Northland’s multidisciplinary cancer teams, where breast and skin cancer cases are reviewed with oncologists, radiologists and other specialists to develop the most appropriate treatment plans.
He also enjoys teaching and supporting other healthcare professionals, sharing his specialist knowledge with GPs and surgical trainees.
